Stuffy Nose = so-so al-fray-doh

Sneezing, stuffy nose, itchy eyes!

ALLERGIES!!!!!

Just popped two allergy pills.

#workquicklyPLEASE

So I'm whipping up some tasty Alfredo today. Make some last week that was "to die for"

Ser-is-lee. It was THA best.

Creamy sauce, bow tie pasta, and lovely steamed broccoli.
Ahh scrum-diddly-umpticous!

Wish I could remember what seasonings I put in it.

I can't be the only one who "smells" food while cooking to know if it's right or not? Meatloaf, chili, Alfredo, spaghetti sauce, banana bread, etc etc. On big whiff of it and you know if it needs more pepper, ketchup, pumpkin spice or parmesan cheese.

When your smeller is out of commission. It puts a damper on the whole smell and season way I cook.

Thus the so-so al-fray-doh. Haven't tasted it yet. But my hopes are already dashed that it's THA best. Although that may have something to do with accidentally adding sugar/cinnamon mix :-/. Oops.

I have a lovely magnetic spice rack and I marked on the lisa what the contents are.... Sometimes when I'm so caught up being cooktastic I don't read names. Just grab and add! BAM!

Oops. And I think I burnt my buttah. BAM!

How much pepper do you think it will take to drown out the cinnamony sugarness!? :) Bon appetite... That's wrong right? Apetit? Eh whatev....

Sorry this post is almost pictureless. I deleted them before I remembered to add them to the post that I also forgot to post :-/. Oh the joys of benadryl fog.

A myriad of ramblings...

Sorry for the silence. Get prepared for a myriad of excuses. Wow that was a smart sounding word. Let me google it and post the definition so I don't forget what it means. Brb. ....... K Imbackk!

{{myr·i·ad/ˈmirēəd/
Noun:A countless or extremely great number.
Adjective:Countless or extremely great in number.}}

So there you go. Spelling Class is over for the day. Your can be dismissed at the conclusion of this apologetic rambling post.....

Been busy as a bee :). My Mans family is coming up this weekend. We have also been working on processing the deer meat (no fun). And it's been fall cleaning time round heerr'!!

Also, something is in the works. Shhhhh IT'S A SURPRISE. Can't say what, when, how, who, where, why, or how come. YET. And no I'm not pregnant. Ha! Gotcha! I mean no I'm really not prego, but yet, yes I got you cuz you were thinking I was/am. Weren't you?.....

So, ya. Back to my original thought. Which was..... Silence. Apologies myriad, plethora of them, apologies that is.... Fun words.
Say that 10 times fast. Dare ya.

{happenings}

Potty training...................

Potty training may or may not be the end of my sanity. If RC "tinkles" (I say tinkles in ".." cuz my man says "my boy doesn't tinkle") so anyways, if he wets/urinates/potties in the floor one more time. I quite possibly may possibly GO INSANE. We have been skipping diapers, in favor or big boy undies...me-"RC do you need to potty?" RC-"no"

1 minute later....

{splash}

Me-"ugh" and now cleaning the floor/pillow/ceiling etc.....

Just kidding about the ceiling! Haha

Lou got to practice in the Kiddie Choir at Church. SUPER PROUD MOMMY MOMENT!!! " What a Mighty God We Serve!" great song too. She wasn't even scared to practice singing.

Did I mention, I dislike processing deer meat. And if my bow huntin' Hunny gets another deer, we shall shell out a myriad of money to get it processed for us. Where all I have to do is put lovely packaged packages in the freezer. Ah, that'd be the life. But yes I'm thankful for the blessing the meat will be but by George it's dirty work, dontcha know.

I have step by step pics. Thinking of having My Man do a guest post....

"Dear Season 2011.. Bow Hunter Diaries"

Next week will be our Anniversary. 8 wonderful years of marriage. Finding the love of your life is perfect.
There may be bumps and bigger bumps but it's amazing. An amazing thing called {LOVE}.

Ohhhhhhhh geez almost forgot. One of my fb friends www.Mistydavisphotography.com
Posted a wonderful tutorial. Ruffled Posie Belt. It's superb. And I plan on making it in a myriad of colors ;-) (love that word)

I have to find the closure buckle Thingy. Then the belt will be done. It was easy, fun and the tut was very very well spoken err, typed and easy to understand. She has more tutorials posted and will be posting more. She also has an etsy shop.

Cute stuff Maynard.

I think that is all for now. Must wake up early, clean, do dishes, laundry, vacuum, sweep, clean, go to target, browse clearance, homeschool, clean up for Bible Study, welcome inlaws, cook, pray potty training works, and I'm sure also do a myriad of other things.

Just a little fodder.

fodder n. Feed for livestock, especially coarsely chopped hay or straw. Raw material, as for artistic creation.

Obviously I'm loosely basing my usage on the latter definition.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (KJV)

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
[2] A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
[3] A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
[4] A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
[5] A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
[6] A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; [7] A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
[8] A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Recess!!!!! :) class dismissed.

Also a special congrats to my friends J and A on the Birth of their precious Baby Boy U.B. :)

Happy Birthday to My Momma

I've got the best momma. I know most people feel that way about their own.

She has always been there for me and our family. Someone to talk with, laugh with, share joy with, endure sorrow with. Thankful also she is my babies Meme. They are blessed to have her.

My Momma probably won't see this post ever, she doesn't get online much. Occasional trips to the library. But I want to give honor where honor is due. I love your bones Momma!

Sticky situation. A day in the life of Mr Dragon Fly

We came home from Church the other night, saw a big pretty dragon fly on out porch light.

And yes, aren't they pretty porch lights? (if I may say so myself:)
yup, you guessed it CLEARANCE! Regular $79.99 each. Found them at Home De-pot, for $14.00 each! What a bargain! Love a good sale.

Oh yea, back to Mr Dragon Fly!!

Sorry, clearance is the shiny object that distracts moi ;-)

Anyways, he was perched on the light. I took some pictures of him. He didn't move, we thought he was a goner. So My Man grabbed him, he was alive!! But several of his feet/arms/whatev had sticky spider web on them. So My Man to the rescue!

He brought him to the bathroom, grabbed some tweezers and began to operate. It was a successful web removal, no bleeding, no staples. Just a clean removal. Thankfully he has good insurance.
The anesthesia is what's gonna be the big cost...(lame attempt at humor, it's ok go ahead and laugh anyways) (I.insist.)

So after he got the web off, Mr D.F came to life! Started sticking his tail/whatev out like he was going to sting. (do they sting? #mustgoogle) it was pretty freaky, never seen a D.F up close like that.

We had a semi small science class for Lou.
"Look Lou a big bug"
Class dismissed. Recess!!!!!

After surgery, we freed the big bug outside. Where he undoubtedly got entangled again.
Men, they never learn...

Course he coulda been a Mrs Dragon Fly? Hmmm

If that's the case, she flew to Dragon Fly Target for clearance sales!!! My kinda lady...

Thankfulness from a Childs point of view.

While giving Lou and RC Breakfast, I asked who wanted to pray over our food. Lou said she did.

Yes, that is important to us, and something we want to instill in our children. :)

Lou's Prayer went like this...

"Jesus bless our food, and help Meme be safe. And Thank You Jesus for our Deer meat, and Thank You for Daddy. Keep us safe, In Jesus Name. Amen"

So proud of her :) mommy brag blog today. And RC (2) now says "cereal" almost perfectly. :)

Also, Thankful for some unexpected Blessings this week. :)

And maybe some fall colored headbands, rolled fabric flowers, maybe some wonderfully wonderful MOD PODGE. Saw some amazing tutorials while pinning. I <3 Pinterest... Dearly. I also need to finish some Neck Tie Onesie's that were supposed to be baby gifts for at least 4 born and soon to be born sweet baby boys :) And one for my boy.

But whatever I make will be blogged. Unless it's junk. And then I'll only half blog it. K? Well time for sleep. Church day tomorrow. Thankfully !

Bow Hunting stole My Man

It's 7:00 AM, yes AM. As in EARLY!

Well for me, after a late Friday friends night, and since Saturday is official " sleep-in day" dontcha know...

Anyways back to early, earliness...

My Mans phone-"Ding ding".

Me-Ugh who is texting you this early, put your phone on silent please so I can get more zzzzZzzZz...please.

My Man-Oh, it's so-and-so. He got a deer!

Me-Wow, yay...hippy! Not. Need zzzzZzzZz ...

My Man-Oh so I gotta do laundry, so I will smell like nothing.

Me-Mmmmkay? Why does it matter if you smell like something? Your not actually hunting today, just scouting the hunting area.

My Man-I just can't smell like anything, even though I'm only looking around the hunting area.

Me-Why?

My Man-You just don't get it.

Me-Obviously.

My Man-Where's my scent free deodorant.

Ser-is-lee.

Time for more zzzzZzzZz now that My-Mighty-Scent-Free-Bow-hunting-bringin-home-the-venison-Man is gone scouting.

Thought this blog post might appeal to a broader crowd. Example. Wives of hunters or scent free men :-)

{{{Disclaimer}}}

----no actual deer were hurt in the taking of these horrifically grainy pictures. We were only watching these particular deer, not hunting.

----if hunting offends you? DONT READ MY BLOG. k th-anks :)

----sad to report---- both of my little people are awake. ZzzzZzzZz may be postponed to a later date... Sniff sniff.

The first PotO Soup cookin day of 2011

BrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRrrrrrr Brr. Did I say Brr?

It's a chilly day. Not chili, I already made that this week.
I'm talking Chilly, Boucshee(MO Family slang for cold), wish you hadda fireplace blazin' kinda day here in my town.

So, a lovely, piping hot, aromatic pot of soup to the rescue.

My compliments to Mrs Ree, Pioneer woman for the recipe. See, since I have a blog I feel I am on first name basis with above said blogger.
Eh, wishful thinking...

Anyways. She rocks!
Recipe found here-

Italian Chicken Soup - http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/pioneerwoman-full-rss-feed/~3/piDmgZOz4A4/

Here is PW's ingredient list.
Posted from her site.

"By Mrs Ree
Recipe: Italian Chicken Soup
Ingredients

1 box Ditalini Pasta (very Short Macaroni-type Pasta Noodles)
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 whole Cut Up Fryer Chicken
8 cups Low Sodium Chicken Broth
1 whole Medium Onion, Diced
2 whole Green Bell Peppers, Diced
2 stalks Celery, Diced
2 whole Fresh Jalapenos, Diced
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 can (28-ounce) Can Whole Tomatoes
2 cups Heavy Cream
1/3 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
4 Tablespoons Minced Fresh Oregano
Salt And Freshly Ground Pepper, To Taste
Parmesan Cheese Shavings, For Serving
Preparation Instructions

Cook pasta in a pot according to package directions, being sure not to overcook it. Drain and rinse in cold water to cool. Toss in 1 tablespoon olive oil and set aside.

Place chicken in a large pot or dutch oven and cover in chicken stock. Bring to a boil, then simmer chicken, covered, for 30 minutes. Turn off heat and leave covered for 30 minutes. Remove chicken from pot and shred meat. Discard bones and set meat aside.

Dice canned tomatoes and return them to their juice. Set aside.

Heat a small skillet over medium high heat. Add olive oil and oregano and turn off heat, stirring over the next minute to keep oregano from burning. Set this aside.

Either pour off chicken broth into a separate container or use a new pot to saute onion, green pepper, celery, and jalapenos in 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat until tender and golden brown, about 10 minutes. Add chicken broth, shredded chicken, and tomatoes with their juice. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Add cooked pasta, cream, and all the oregano and olive oil from the small skillet. Stir to combine. Turn off heat.

Serve with lots of Parmesan sprinkled on the top--the more the better! Crusty Italian bread is good, too.

All in all. This soup is very flavorful and yummy! I wouldn't mind if it was a bit thicker. But gets two thumbs up from us! Happy cooking :)

A whole lotta cleaning going on..

Can you nest and not be expecting?!?!

YESSS! I do believe you CAN.

That's what I feel like.

First cleaned the kitchen counters, kitchen table, put a fresh table cloth on, then I thought oh, I'll sweep too. Why not?

Sweep-check.

Wash the possibly unwashable foam mat/rugs in the washer. SUREEEE, why not!!?

Washing mat/rugs-check

Then I thought, Hey, bleach these kitchen and bathroom floors?!

Dontcha know they need it?!

Bleach floors-check

Outta bleach now, and carpet machine cleaner?
My Man goes to Dollar Gen, he's a handy fella like that. And yes, my heart goes pitter patter when he gets home :)
(side note rant-thank you iPhone spell/auto correct! Pitter changed to sitter, then putter before the stinkin too smart for it's own good phone would let me say "pitter" end of rant-:)

Ok back cleaning, cleaning and yes more cleaning!

So I borrowed a friends carpet cleaner machine. Thought hey, no time like the present to clean some car-peet. (I like to randomly throw out differently spelled pronunciations, it's the spice of this blog, I tell ya) so I fired up the Wonderful Hooo-vah and cleaned away. Got the hall way done. Wondered, hmmm this car-peet is a still (trampoline) yes, trampoline! Not really, trampoline was supposed to been "realllllly" but the lovely smart phone auto corrected. And I let it for once.... It will not happen again. I took a screen shot of the auto correct. Will be posting at the end of this cleaningpolooza.

The part of the machine that catches the dirty, sucked up already been used to clean your dirty but now clean car-peet water WAS NOT attached right. So I cleaned my heart out. And it didn't suck up any of the above explained water. My Man checked it out, of course I hadn't snapped the lid shut tight. Then My Wonderful Man proceeded to run the car-peet cleaner so it would dry up the above explained water mess.

Carpet cleaned-check

Now it's bath time for RC and Lou.

Calgon, take me away!

Plan on doing the rest of the living room after Prayer meeting at Church and after the little people are asleep.

Oh, the rug washed up lovely!! The washing machine didn't rip it to shreds as I feared. And it's clean, so that's a plus :-) two more to wash. They do seem to retain water like a 9 month pregnant woman in July though. I suggest letting them dry out of doors.
